About This Spot

Stepping into Maracaibo Mia Son Y Sazón feels like a gentle invitation to slow down and savor moments that speak of home. This humble corner on South Semoran Boulevard carries a soft buzz—not loud or brash, but the kind of warmth that lingers in the air when familiar faces exchange kind words over shared plates. The pace here takes its natural rhythm, allowing you to settle into the genuine conviviality of a neighborhood spot where stories are as much a part of the experience as the food.

The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, punctuated by simple decor that draws your eyes upward to playful details peppered across the ceiling—a subtle nod to the vibrant spirit of Maracaibo, the western Venezuelan city that inspires much of the menu. It’s a space that doesn’t demand attention but embraces you like an old friend, with service that feels heartfelt rather than rehearsed, adding layers of comfort to every visit.

Here, every bite carries echoes of home and tradition. The menu is a tapestry of savory textures and familiar aromas that invite sharing and exploring. Whether it’s the satisfying crunch of a freshly fried patacón or the tender, slow-cooked richness of carne mechada nestled inside a soft arepa, each dish offers an intimate glimpse into Venezuelan flavors shaped by Maracaibo’s unique culinary heritage. The customary mix of plantains, cheeses, and richly seasoned meats transforms each plate into a joyful discovery, making dining here less about the rush and more about savoring a moment suspended in rich, heartfelt taste.

This is a place where locals and visitors alike gather quietly, drawn by the honest generosity of portions and the easy laughter that occasionally bubbles up across tables. It’s a reminder of how food connects us—to our roots, to the people who prepare it with care, and to others who share in the experience.

Divino!! We were in Orlando just for a bit and spotted the place with the corner of my eye ... Food was amazing and the ladies greeting you and taking care of you were the best! Real venezuelan warmth!! I had to have a patacón and i couldn't eat it fast enough it was so tasty. The decoration is simple and the best is on the ceiling... If you are not familiar with the venezuelan slang, probably the phrases won't make much sense, but for us, each of them is a smile in the heart and memories of the times you used them. Go, love a meal - yes, your barriga is capable of lobe too - and be happy!!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this place and had an outstanding experience. From the delectable cuisine to the warm and welcoming staff, this hidden gem deserves all the praise it can get. They have reasonable prices and very generous portion sizes. The quality of the food combined with the affordability truly made for a great dinner experience. Will definitely be coming back !

Maracaibo is a western Venezuelsn City famous for the oil industry and mayors refineries in South America. They have a singular >cuisine with original plates. In this place, you can get different marabino plates with the latin food taste but different flavors mixing plantains cheese and meeting casual meals like the "Yoyo", the rich "Tostada" a fried corn pastries filled with shedered meat , cheese, onions or main dishes like a "Chivito in Coco", Oat meat in a delicius bbq sauce, with a coconut milk flavor. Ask for the menu and ask for advice for your selection. The cashier atender will help you, I'm sure you will not be disappointed, Today I asked for a shedred meat Yoyo, it was big and delicious. also get Tequeños, with wacamole and a cheese "Cachapa". Everything was excellent. The atmosphere is casual like a fast food rest, but the attention was good. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this restaurant we're you find a diferent latin food from a diferent people; Los Maracuchos.

Very good service and very good food. I am from Maracaibo and this brought back some good memories. The food was on point and also very fresh. It was made to order. We took two other friends and they really enjoyed it as well. Highly recommend the hamburger.

Nice little restaurant. Good food and friendly service. Empanada with shredded meat and arepa with shredded meat/black beans/plantains/cheese were delicious. Did not walk away hungry! WiFi available, so I did some work on my computer. They said they did not mind me staying. Would come back again.

Clean establishment and very friendly service - kid friendly too - various selection of Venezuelan food. Food comes out hot. Select your order at window or have your food brought to you. Great. I encourage you to try for yourself. Enjoy!
